# What ports does kopia use?

I’m attempting to use kopia server to backup across azure subscriptions and i’m curious what ports I need to open on the firewall between VMs? Obviously 51515 for the server but what about actual backup traffic?

Well, there is the default port 5151, but you can choose whatever port you wish. Also, Kopia only needs one port per repo.
