Kopia cache is getting too big

Hi,

I’m quite new to kopia, but I already like it a lot.

Yesterday I was doing (command line) kopia snapshot verify --verify-files-percent=5 and after a couple of minutes my system (Windows 10) told me that my C-drive is running out of space (C-drive is quite small, but D-drive has a lot of space left).

I wanted to move the cache-directory using kopia cache set --cache-directory="D:\kopia_cache", but it seemed that this was not working. Why? Because afterwards I did run kopia cache info and it told me that still everything is stored / cached on the C-drive.

Could someone help me here how to “solve” this problem.

Thanks.

Did you disconnect and reconnect from your repository?
Maybe the old setting is kept until disconnect.

Thanks for your suggestion kees. Now I did run:

kopia.exe --password=TEST repository connect filesystem --path="Z:\kopiaTEST"
kopia.exe cache set --cache-directory="D:\kopiaCACHE"
kopia.exe repository disconnect

After that I did run:

kopia.exe --password=TEST repository connect filesystem --path="Z:\kopiaTEST"
kopia.exe cache info --path
pause
kopia.exe repository disconnect

And as result it is still showing a path on my C-drive, more precicely: C:\Users\JohnDoe\AppData\Local\kopia\86bc72e547ab1ff0

What am I doing wrong.

$ kopia cache set --cache-directory="D:\kopiaCACHE"
