Backgound - I’m running on an update-within-a-month Linux Mint system against a mounted SMB NAS share.
Issue - my maintenance run is complaining about too many index blobs AND that it must be run by a designated user (even though I’ve set the owner as copied out of maintenance inforesults). Each time I run it, the number of blobs reported increases by 1 (first 1501, then 1502…1503…1504). ![]()
What is maintenance doing that creates a blob (I thought it was supposed to help REDUCE blobs) and how do I reverse this trend?
me:/$ kopia maintenance set --owner=me@myPC-3me2km8b
Found too many index blobs (1503), this may result in degraded performance.
Please ensure periodic repository maintenance is enabled or run 'kopia maintenance'.
