Snapshotting 24/7 for 2.5 weeks, 4.4% complete.
Compression is turned off to reduce any overhead, previously tried zstd-fastest with it disabled on non-compressible file types (raw photo files, jpgs, etc), previous to that, zstd-fastest compressing all file types. No noticeable change in speed.
What can I do? This isn’t going to be a feasible solution at this rate. I’ll be dead before I’ve even made my first backup of this stuff. And after I’m dead, someone else will die before they have time to restore it!
