Freezing Kopia on Linux

I am running Kopia on Linux (Zorin 17). It works perfectly the first day. By the second day, it is frozen (Kopia UI will not launch). If I close it down, and relaunch, I will find that it has missed its backup tasks since it was frozen. The process then repeats.

Is there a log I can look at or share that could help determine why it is freezing? Let me know if there is any other helpful info I can share to figure out this problem. Thanks.

You may have run into this problem: KopiaUI minimizes to tray on desktop environments that do not have a system tray.

The easiest way is to log in to the XFCE desktop which Zorin has in addition to GNOME. If it works there, then the above link should help.

I found that If I leave the app open (but minimized) it will crash with a “Network Error”.
