Guide on Ransomware protection on Scaleway

Hi everyone,

During the Christmas holidays, I took the quest to add ransomware protection with Kopia, using Scaleway object storage.
The road was not smooth as I had to discover and learn and workarounds limitation of Scaleway (hidden permission, double policies for IAM + bucket, …).

I wrote a quite detailed blog post, a “guide” on the setup I did.

If you have any comment, or you find some bad stuff, don’t hesitate. I am far from an expert, and so far, the backup seems to be Ok, and I am even capable of restoring data! :rofl:

Offtopic: Are you happy with Scaleway’s S3 performance? I’ve tested it in the past and was really disappointed.

@dimejo No problem with Scaleway so far. I have light backups (a few folders, < 100go, a few Mo change).
