Newbie to Kopia - Enjoy it, but need help for the next steps

Hi there, I have Kopia running on my main QNAP for a while. I have a few clients backup with a 6 months history. I have now another QNAP to another location. I would like to use the “sync” option to this remote QNAP for redundance purpose (SFTP/WebDAV or else) Those can see each other via Tailscale. My questions:

-Do I need to create a remote repo and then sync to it or does it create itself when syncing?
-If creating the repo before, Do I need to run Kopia in server mode or not?

Kopia is running on both servers at the moment, but only my main QNAP has a configured repo with the routine snapshopts on it.

Thanks for the help!

-Eric

Update:

I would like to take the SFTP route for the remote repository:

I made my command line to my ready SFTP server. I can connect with WinSCP without problem

But via command line it returns:

can’t connect to storage: must provide either --known-hosts or --known-hosts-data

Where do I find those?

Thanks!

Update2: manage to run based on a config file, so no more prompt.

One last question remains.

When re-running the task to sync to SFTP in the future, will it rescan/re-upload all the files or just the changes?

Thanks. Eric

Changes only. The best just try:)

Thanks for the follow-up
