Hi everyone, I have a huge issue with my kopia repository, that I can’t fully make sense of:
I just ran kopia snapshot fix-missing-files and received an enormous amount of “removing invalid file … due to: object … is backed by missing blob …”. It basically wants to delete the entire 6TB repository.
However, both blobs and contents mentioned in those logs can be retrieved successfully with kopia blob show <blobid> –decrypt, kopia content show <objectid> respectively.
Now, I’m unsure what to make of this. Why could kopia be able to retrieve those blobs but fail to find them during maintenance tasks?
System Configuration:
- My kopia respository is backed by S3 compatible storage (using SeaweedFS)
- Repository format version is 2, Index format is v2
- kopia version is 0.22.3
Note: I migrated my storage some time ago from a minio bucket (using mc, so on the S3 layer), changing endpoint and prefix, but keeping anything else the same - could that have messed with any kind of metadata.
