Reduce Memory consumption

Hi,
thank you for this great software! It works very well for me with to-disk and to-s3 with hundreds of gigabytes.

Is it possible to reduce the memory consumption while sleeping/waiting?
I’m running always the last release (0.9.0-rc2).

I’m actively investigating the memory consumption right now, it should be fixed before the 0.9 release.
