There doesn’t seem to be any statistics on anything in the GUI (and limited/confusing statistics via the CLI)
I’ve been comparing a lot of different backup solutions at the moment, and compared to a lot of the others, this seems to be a big downside to kopia.
How big is my repository? How big is each snapshot? Did it only add a tiny amount of changed data even though the source size is big? How much data would be saved by deleting a specific snapshot? None of this is shown. Some of it can be found via the CLI (for example snapshot list --storage-stats) but even that’s very hard to view or understand, and the point of the GUI is presumably to not use the CLI (except for advanced settings etc - and I don’t think basic statistics are advanced).
The program would be much more useful to people like me if it had these kinds of stats in the UI. They don’t necessarily need to be efficient to gather - I have tried other backup software that requires a manual “regenerate statistics” option before viewing updated statistics, or runs a generate statistics task periodically.
