Can I backup a folder in Google Drive to the SSD in my local machine?

Essentially this is what I want to do…

Backup Google Drive to local directory

I’ll take the lack of response to the topic I linked to from 2022 and to my topic as a resounding…

If you install Google Drive desktop app then you can backup that dir to your ssd.
But Kopia won’t backup directly FROM google drive.

So yes, the answer is “No.

Thanks for letting me know.

By the way, I use Linux Mint. As you might know there’s no Google Drive for Desktop for Linux.

Use program called rclone - - and mount your GDrive locally - then you can backup it using kopia like any other local folder.
