Hi Everyone. Just thought I’d post about this here because this was the first place I looked for an answer and didn’t see one.
New in KopiaUI version 0.19.0 seems to be a feature to provide notification bubbles in Windows. These are the little notifications that pop up usually in the bottom right corner for various things.
When you right-click the KopiaUI tray icon, there’s a new selection on the menu for “Notifications” that appears to be intended to control this behaviour. It offers the following options:
- Enabled
- Warnings And Errors
- Disabled
It seems that it defaults to “Warnings And Errors”. However my experience is that it pops up a notification for every snapshot even if it was entirely successful and uneventful. This appears to be a bug.
I see that this has been reported as an issue on GitHub and is being discussed there and the developers appear to acknowledge that this is an issue and have indicated that they intend to “fix it soon”.

This is not a request for support, as it appears it is a known issue that is actively being worked on. Just here so people who search here can find it if they are not on GitHub. Massive thanks to the developers, contributors and those providing support.
