I have just installed Kopia (GUI version) on a Windows 11 PC, and set up a Snapshot. The target repository is on a SMB share on an Ubuntu machine. I chose a folder containing 12GB of files, and selected the “"zstd-fastest” compression option. After 20 minutes I decided that maybe the compression was slowing down the job, so I cancelled it. Well, I tried to - after half an hour it has still not been cancelled. I tried shutting down Kopia from the CLI, but got a “connection refused” error from the Kopia server. I tried re-opening the Kopia UI, but it would not open.
Eventually I uninstalled Kopia and reinstalled it, but the Kopia UI will still not open.
Any idea how I can fix this?
