What happens when I cancel a running task?

Hi

What happens if I run a task of a fren new snapshot folder? Will it stop and remove that snapshot? Will it resume when I restart it?

I added a new snapshot folder that is quite large, so it started the backup. It is like 3TB of source files. Will I lose all that progress and the snapshot if I cancel it? I want to resume it later if possib;e.
