I just downloaded and started testing Kopia on a 2019 (intel) iMac running Sequoia 15.7.2 (24G325) and found one minor and one major bug
The minor problem is that I can’t change the name of my repository with “Update Description”. It accepts the command but does not save the new value.
The major problem is that the application completely stops working if I quit while I am connected to my repository. If I disconnect first, I can quit and restart the application as expected. However, if I am connected and just quit the application then I cannot restart the application. It comes up, but no windows appear. Reload and Force Reload do nothing.
Eventually, I went into “~/Library/Application Support” and deleted the items kopia and kopia-ui. Then I can restart the application as expected. As long as I disconnected before quitting, everything is fine. But, Ive tried quitting while still connected and every time I do that the UI won’t come up again.
I have not tried any remote repository options since I am just testing it out to see if I want to use it for real. At this point, it looks like it is not ready.
