I have set up Kopia Docker on Unraid and I run it once per week, not more often due to other backup solutions. I would also like to have the backups HDD running only when maintenance and snapshot are running.
When initially installed, Kopia was running maintenance quite often (less than an hour apart). I am using a dedicated HDD for backups and it was running at all times.
I disabled the maintenance and the backup HDD is now spinning down for most of the day. However, it looks like Kopia is still accessing the repository, waking the HDD in the morning about three times per day, it reads kopia.repository.f, kopia.blobcfg.f and kopia.maintenance.f.
For maintenance and backup I am using a script which runs weekly, instead of the Kopia scheduler.
