Question: Can the owner be changed afterwards?

Hi!

My first backup finished. I just saw when mounting the backup from another computer that I have a weird owner name because the backup was taken from a docker container.

My OCD doesn’t allow it to stay like this  Can it be changed by editing the repository files? I had a look but didn’t find the owner name anywhere. I guess I have to redo the snapshot?

Another rather important thing: You can also see on the screenshot that the size is 0 B but I verified that the files can be mounted.

The CLI says

sven@sven-MSI:~$ kopia snapshot list --all
nobody@kopia-57b8cbf57b-64q46:/media/gemeinsam/unsere-fotos
  2023-05-06 00:46:59 CEST kf22e500906652a8e7ff19999e1ac1eca 253.5 GB drwxrwxrwx files:35094 dirs:306 (latest-1,hourly-1,daily-1,weekly-1,monthly-1,annual-1)

The size is displayed correctly here. Restarting KopiaUI doesn’t fix it.

Hi,

was the backup incomplete? If it takes longer than a certain amount of time, it will be shown as incomplete and fixed in the next cycle.

For changing the user, maybe take a look at here: snapshot move-history | Kopia

However, I have not used the command above yet. Be carefull

Cheers,

move-history worked, thanks!
