We’ve had Kopia backing up a samba server to B2 for… weeks? All perfect and happy. About 5 days ago, a handful of folders started getting “2025-05-21T14:46:17.983225Z DEBUG uploader snapshotted directory {“path”:”{{redacted path}}“,“error”:“GetFileInformationByHandleEx {{redacted network path}}: An unexpected network error occurred.”,“dur”:“7m31.5025017s”}” for about 10 folders. Some (almost) always fail. Some fail… sometimes. I’ve renamed, restarted, moved the folders. I really am not sure how to troubleshoot this more. Kopia is running on windows in server mode. The files aren’t locked or anything. They are accessible via the explorer. Any thoughts?
For any who run across this, it does seem to be a problem on the SMB server. Doing a powershell
Get-ChildItem -Recurse through the tree also got a dropped connection.
