I can re-create this issue consistently on two different laptops.
System #1: Thinkpad T14 AMD running Fedora Linux 42.20251017.0 Silverblue
KopiaUI worked fine the first time I opened it. Was able to connect to my B2 bucket no problem and backup about 60GB (no settings changed other than the B2 login credentials). Immediately afterwards KopiaUI no longer opens. Restarting my pc does not help. Uninstalling the app but keeping the settings and then reinstalling does not fix the issue. going to System Monitor and killing every Kopia process does not fix the issue. The only way KopiaUI will work again is to uninstall it and also delete app data (i.e., not keep settings, etc.) and then reinstall it to which it will work prefectly fine ONLY ONCE before I have to repeat the entire process.
System #2: 2015 Macbook Pro running Silverblue
Just for kicks I installed the same OS on my old 2015 Macbook Pro and installed Kopia and connected to my B2 bucket (but did not push a backup). I closed KopiaUI then tried to open it up again but no dice – it simply doesn’t open.
Does anyone know what’s happening here? I really want to use this app because so far it’s the easiest way for a Linux new Linux user like me to backup to B2.
